Attacking midfielder, Jake Davies, an Aberdare native, has kicked-on in recent years after playing for a number of seasons at the FAW academy at Cambrian and Clydach Vale as a No10. He was picked up from there by Cardiff City and has been used as a wide right and wide left attacking player the first half of this 2022/23 season for the Bluebirds U16s, being equally effective on both flanks. Jake reads the game very well, links up play with other players, always creating options, and tries to overlap and get in behind the opposition defence. He was selected for his first Wales U16 camp in November 2022, taking part on the Federations Cup Tournament in Benidorm. He was offered a scholarship at Cardiff City in December 2022, which he will take up on 1st July 2023.
